Founded in 1964, the American Society of Clinical Oncology is the world’s leading professional organization for physicians and oncology professionals caring for people with cancer. Rakuten Medical will be present at booth 16024.
The Society conducts the majority of its business through various volunteer groups comprised of ASCO members who volunteer their time and effort to Society programs. Leaders of patient advocacy groups are often active in ASCO volunteer groups as well. There are currently 18 standing committees (plus numerous editorial boards, task forces, panels, and working groups) that are managed and supported by ASCO’s full-time staff. ASCO is a charitable, educational, and scientific organization classified under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
